Why AED?

Hear from some of our members!

“Joining AED was the best decision of my college career! Beginning college during the pandemic was a tricky process to navigate, and the people of AED quickly became my family and have helped ground me ever since. Within this community I've met the most genuine, driven, and resourceful individuals who push everyone around them toward success. This organization has provided me with so much to forever be thankful for!”

Divya Suresh, Fall 2021 Class

“AED has given me an incredible community of like-minded individuals that has supported and inspired me throughout my time at USC. Finding people who I can study, volunteer, and hang out with all while working towards a future career in medicine has been an amazing experience.”

Dominic Pak, Fall 2021 Class

“Prior to joining, I struggled to find a group of authentic people who shared similar energy and interest with me. Now, my class is full of people I’ll look forward to seeing at a college reunion in the future. AED is the perfect environment to let you step out of your comfort zone without any pressure to meet new people. This includes friends and even networking with physicians or alumni to give you an advantage in the pre-med process!”

Tiffany Tam, Spring 2023 Class

“Applying to AED is a fantastic opportunity because it provides invaluable insights into navigating the premed process and securing a place in an excellent medical school. Being part of this honor society has allowed me to form lasting friendships that have not only enriched my academic journey but have also created a supportive community that I know will feel like family for life.”

Jared Smith, Spring 2024 Class

“The unique opportunity to connect with other pre-medicine students while exploring various specialties within the medical field distinguishes AED from other organizations on campus. The vibrant social aspect of the club complements the professional development opportunities it offers. AED has given me some of my very best friends and invaluable experience in medicine.”

Razanne Mihtar, Fall 2023 Class

“AED has not only provided me with amazing guidance, opportunities, and resources but has also given me friendships that will last a lifetime. I have made so many memories with these amazing people, and I would never be able to handle the stresses of pre-med without my AED family!”

Cameron Randolph, Spring 2024 Class
